ERYX Blades began with a simple discovery: some of the most interesting knives are not made by the biggest names, in the biggest factories, or in endless production runs.

They come from small workshops, where materials, craftsmanship, and curiosity still shape what gets made next.

Our story begins in Yangjiang, China — a city with generations of knifemaking behind it — and with a maker who has spent more than two decades working with knives.

For years, his business followed the familiar path of production at scale. More pieces. More competition. More pressure to make what the market already knew.

Eventually, he chose a different direction.

Today, he works with a small team of six, creating the knives they actually want to make — often starting with an unusual material, a new finishing technique, or simply an idea worth exploring.

That philosophy became the foundation for ERYX Blades.

CRAFT

MATERIALS START THE CONVERSATION.

We believe a collectible knife should be interesting before it is ever opened.

That begins with materials.

M390 steel. Damascus. Titanium. Natural shell. Hand-set inlays. Specialized finishes and materials chosen as much for their character as their performance.

But materials alone do not make a piece special.

Across ERYX releases, hand-finishing plays an important role — from blade and handle finishing to inlay work, assembly, and the details that give each design its final character. Precision components, including ceramic bearing systems, bring modern engineering into the process.

The result is a balance between precision and the human hand.

Natural materials vary. Hand-finished surfaces develop their own character. Not every variation can — or should — be perfectly repeated.

For us, those differences are part of the piece.

SCARCITY

WE MAKE WHAT THE MATERIAL ALLOWS.

ERYX does not begin with the question:

"How many can we make?"

More often, it begins with:

"What can we make from this?"

Materials are discovered in limited quantities. An unusual piece of shell, a distinctive titanium pattern, or a particular Damascus can become the starting point for an entirely new design.

Then we make a small release.

A typical ERYX design may begin with around 30 pieces. Some designs may return when the materials, demand, and opportunity are right.

Others won't.

We don't build ERYX around permanent best sellers or an endless catalog of identical products. New pieces arrive as materials and ideas come together, and production remains deliberately small.

What you find today may not be here the next time you visit.

That's not a marketing countdown.

It's simply how these knives are made.

It can also be something you choose because of the material. The engineering. The finish. The way light moves across a piece of Damascus or natural shell.

ERYX is for people who notice those things.

Collectors who would rather discover something uncommon than choose what everyone already knows. People drawn to small releases, unusual materials, and pieces with a character of their own.

We don't expect ERYX to be for everyone.

It shouldn't be.
